سجلت البيانات الإحصائية الصادرة عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات في سلطنة عُمان حتى نهاية فبراير 2026م تراجعًا طفيفًا في عدد نزلاء الفنادق المصنفة (3 إلى 5 نجوم)، حيث بلغ إجمالي النزلاء 439,287 نزيلاً، مقارنة بـ 455,733 نزيلاً خلال الفترة نفسها من عام 2025م، بانخفاض نسبته 3.6 بالمئة.وعلى الرغم من هذا التراجع، سجلت الإيرادات الفندقية ارتفاعًا بنسبة 18.5 بالمئة، لتصل إلى 69 مليونا و&nbsp;208 ألف ريال عماني، مقابل 58&nbsp;مليون و 379 الف ريال عُماني في الفترة ذاتها من العام الماضي. كما تحسّنت نسبة الإشغال الفندقي من 67.6 بالمئة في فبراير 2025م إلى 68.4 بالمئة في فبراير 2026م، بنمو نسبته 1.2 بالمئة.وأوضحت البيانات انخفاضًا في أعداد النزلاء العُمانيين بنسبة 5.3 بالمئة ليصل إلى 129,797 نزيلاً، كما تراجع نزلاء دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي بنسبة 18.4 بالمئة ليبلغ 22,396 نزيلاً، وانخفض عدد نزلاء الدول العربية الأخرى بنسبة 11.6 بالمئة مسجلاً 14,485 نزيلاً.وسجّل عدد نزلاء الفنادق من القارة الآسيوية نموًا إيجابيًا بنسبة 4.5 بالمئة ليبلغ 61,581 نزيلًا، وكذلك القارة الأمريكية التي نما عدد نزلائها بنسبة 5.4 بالمئة ليصل إلى 16,911 نزيلًا. في المقابل، انخفض عدد نزلاء القارة الإفريقية بنسبة 12.4 بالمئة ليصل إلى 2,798 نزيلًا.وشهدت أوقيانوسيا تراجعًا حادًا بنسبة 46.9 بالمئة ليصل عدد نزلائها إلى 5,165 نزيلًا فقط، بينما سجلت القارة الأوروبية انخفاضًا طفيفًا بلغت نسبته 0.5 بالمئة بإجمالي 172,072 نزيلًا.

Statistical data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) up to the end of February 2026 recorded a slight decrease in the number of guests in classified hotels (3-5 stars). The total number of guests reached 439,287, compared to 455,733 guests during the same period in 2025, representing a decrease of 3.6 per cent. Despite the drop in guest volume, hotel revenues recorded a significant increase of 18.5 per cent, reaching OMR 69,208,000 compared to OMR 58,379,000 during the same period last year. The hotel occupancy rate also showed improvement, rising from 67.6 per cent in February 2025 to 68.4 per cent in February 2026, a growth of 1.2 per cent. The data revealed varying trends across different nationalities. There was a 5.3 per cent decrease in the number of Omani hotel guests, totaling 129,797. Guests from other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries declined by 18.4 per cent to 22,396, while guests from other Arab countries fell by 11.6 per cent to 14,485. European guests, who make up a significant portion of the market, saw a marginal decrease of 0.5 per cent, totaling 172,072. In contrast, the number of hotel guests from Asia rose by 4.5 per cent to 61,581, and guests from the Americas grew by 5.4 per cent to 16,911. However, guests from Africa decreased by 12.4 per cent to 2,798, andOceania experienced a sharp decline of 46.9 per cent, with guest numbers falling to 5,165.

بلغ إجمالي إنتاج الكهرباء في سلطنة عُمان ارتفاعًا ملحوظًا بنسبة 17.4 بالمئة خلال الشهرين الأولين من عام 2026م، ليبلغ 6,565.1 جيجاوات بالساعة، مقارنة بـ 5,590.6 جيجاوات بالساعة في الفترة ذاتها من عام 2025م، وذلك وفقًا للبيانات الأولية الصادرة عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات.وأظهرت الإحصائيات ارتفاعاً في صافي إنتاج الكهرباء - والذي يشمل مشتريات الشركة العمانية لشراء الطاقة والمياه ومشتريات شركة كهرباء المناطق الريفية حسب المناطق - بنسبة 17.3 بالمئة ليبلغ 6,333.8 جيجاوات بالساعة حتى نهاية شهر فبراير 2026م، مقارنة بـ 5,401.6 جيجاوات بالساعة في الفترة المماثلة من العام الماضي.وفيما يتعلق بإنتاج المياه، سجّل إجمالي الإنتاج في سلطنة عُمان حتى نهاية شهر فبراير 2026م انخفاضًا طفيفاً بنسبة 1.2 بالمئة، لتبلغ 78,444.0 مليون متر مكعب، مقارنة بـ 79,426.0 مليون متر مكعب خلال الفترة المماثلة عام 2025م. وعلى مستوى المحافظات، تصدّرت محافظة ظفار قائمة المحافظات التي شهدت نموًا في الإنتاج، بارتفاع نسبته 1.7 بالمئة ليصل إلى 12,435.6 مليون متر مكعب، مقارنة بــ 12,224.0 مليون متر مكعب في الفترة المماثلة من العام الماضي.في المقابل، سجلت محافظة مسقط انخفاضًا بنسبة 3.7 بالمئة، حيث بلغ الإنتاج 30,717.4 مليون متر مكعب، مقارنة بـ 31,881.7 مليون متر مكعب. كما انخفض إنتاج باقي المحافظات بنسبة طفيفة بلغت0.1 بالمئة، ليصل إلى 35,291.0 مليون متر مكعب، مقابل 35,320.3 مليون متر مكعب خلال الفترة المماثلة من عام 2025م.

Total electricity production in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a significant increase of 17.4 percent during the first two months of 2026, reaching 6,565.1 gigawatt-hours (GWh) compared to 5,590.6 GWh during the same period in 2025, according to preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). The statistics showed an increase in net electricity production—which includes purchases by Oman Power and Water Procurement Company and the Rural Areas Electricity Company, categorized by region—by 17.3 percent to reach 6,333.8 GWh by the end of February 2026, compared to 5,401.6 GWh during the corresponding period last year. Regarding water production, total output in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of February 2026 recorded a slight decrease of 1.2 percent, totaling 78,444.0 million cubic meters, compared to 79,426.0 million cubic meters during the same period in 2025. At the governorate level, Dhofar Governorate led the list of governorates experiencing growth in production, with an increase of 1.7 percent to reach 12,435.6 million cubic meters, compared to 12,224.0 million cubic meters in the same period last year. Conversely, Muscat Governorate recorded a decrease of 3.7 percent, with production reaching 30,717.4 million cubic meters compared to 31,881.7 million cubic meters. Water production in the remaining governorates also saw a slight decline of 0.1 percent, reaching 35,291.0 million cubic meters compared to 35,320.3 million cubic meters during the same period of 2025.

سجل المؤشر العام لأسعار المستهلكين في سلطنة عُمان ارتفاعًا بنسبة 3.6 بالمئة في شهر مارس 2026م مقارنةً بالشهر المماثل من عام 2025م لسنة الأساس 2018، بحسب البيانات الصادرة عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات، كما سجل متوسط التضخم خلال الربع الأول (يناير إلى شهر مارس 2026م) ارتفاعاً بنسبة 2.3 بالمئة.وأظهرت البيانات تصدّر مجموعة السلع الشخصية المتنوعة والخدمات " قائمة أكثر المجموعات ارتفاعاً، مسجلة ارتفاعاً في الأسعار بنسبة 13.8 بالمئة، تلتها مجموعة النقل بنسبة 9.4 بالمئة، ثم مجموعة المطاعم والفنادق بـنسبة 5.8 بالمئة. وجاءت مجموعة المواد الغذائية والمشروبات غير الكحولية في المرتبة الرابعة بارتفاع نسبته 4.3 بالمئة، تلتها مجموعة الأثاث والتجهيزات والمعدات المنزلية وأعمال الصيانة بـنسبة 3 بالمئة، ومجموعة التعليم بنسبة 2.2 بالمئة.كما ارتفعت أسعار مجموعة الصحة بـنسبة 1.7 بالمئة، ومجموعة الثقافة والترفيه بنسبة 0.2 بالمئة، فيما سجّلت مجموعة الملابس والأحذية ارتفاعًا طفيفًا بنسبة 0.1 بالمئة.فيما استقرت أسعار كل من مجموعة السكن والمياه والكهرباء والغاز وأنواع الوقود الأخرى، ومجموعة الاتصالات، ومجموعة التبغ دون أي تغيير يُذكر.وعلى صعيد مجموعة المواد الغذائية والمشروبات غير الكحولية خلال شهر مارس 2026م مقارنةً بالشهر المماثل من العام 2025م، فقد سُجّلت ارتفاعات في غالبية البنود، تصدّرتها الخضراوات بـنسبة 15.6 بالمئة، تليها الفواكه بـنسبة 10.7 بالمئة، ثم المشروبات غير الكحولية بنسبة 3.4 بالمئة. كما ارتفعت أسعار الأسماك والأغذية البحرية بنسبة بلغت 3.1 بالمئة، والسكر والمربى والعسل والحلويات بنسبة 2.9 بالمئة، والحليب والجبن والبيض بنسبة 2.4 بالمئة، واللحوم بنسبة 1.8 بالمئة، والخبز والحبوب بنسبة 1.2 بالمئة، ومنتجات غذائية غير المصنّفة تحت بند آخر بنسبة 1 بالمئة، والزيوت والدهون بنسبة 0.8 بالمئة.وأظهرت البيانات تفاوتًا في نسب التضخم بين محافظات سلطنة عُمان بنهاية مارس 2026م مقارنةً بالفترة المماثلة من العام السابق، حيث تصدّرت محافظة مسقط بأعلى نسبة ارتفاع بلغت بنسبة 4.5 بالمئة، تلتها محافظة الظاهرة 4.2 بالمئة، ثم محافظة الداخلية بنسبة 4.1 بالمئة، ومحافظة البريمي بنسبة 3.9 بالمئة.وسجّلت كل من محافظة مسندم ارتفاعًا بنسبة 3.1 بالمئة، ومحافظة جنوب الباطنة بنسبة 3 بالمئة، فيما بلغت نسبة الارتفاع في محافظة الوسطى بنسبة 2.8 بالمئة، ومحافظة جنوب الشرقية 2.7 بالمئة.أما محافظة شمال الشرقية فقد حققت ارتفاعًا بنسبة 2.6 بالمئة، ومحافظة ظفار بنسبة 1.8 بالمئة، في حين ارتفع التضخم في محافظة شمال الباطنة بنسبة 1.7 بالمئة.

Oman’s annual inflation rate rose sharply to 3.6% in March 2026, up from 2.0% in February 2026, according to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).The increase in inflation was primarily driven by higher prices across several key expenditure groups, notably miscellaneous goods and services, transport, food and beverages, restaurants and hotels, and furnishings and household items.Data showed that the miscellaneous goods and services group recorded the largest year-on-year increase in March 2026, rising by 13.8% and remaining the main contributor to overall inflation. This was followed by the transport group, where prices jumped by 9.4%.The sharp uptick in inflation in March 2026 coincided with heightened tensions in the Middle East during the same period, particularly linked to the US–Israel war with Iran, which began on February 28. The conflict has significantly affected global oil prices, shipping costs and supply chains. For Gulf countries, including Oman, this may have translated into higher import costs, especially for food and consumer goods.Global institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have warned that the Iran conflict will add to global inflationary pressures.Food inflation rises to 4.3%The food and non-alcoholic beverages group, which carries the largest weight in the sultanate’s consumer basket, recorded a notable 4.3% increase in March 2026 compared with the same month in 2025. Prices in this group had risen by 2.8% year-on-year in February.Within the food category, price movements were mixed. Vegetable prices recorded the sharpest increase at 15.6%, followed by fruits at 10.7%. Prices of non-alcoholic beverages rose by 3.4%, sugar, jam, honey and confectionery by 2.9%, meat by 1.8%, milk, cheese and eggs by 2.4%, bread and cereals by 1.2%, and fish by 3.1%.Other expenditure groups recorded mixed increases. Prices in the restaurants and hotels group increased by 5.8%, while the furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance group rose by 3.0% compared with the same month last year. Education rose by 2.2% and health by 1.7%.Meanwhile, prices in the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group remained unchanged year-on-year, as did those in the communication and tobacco groups.At the governorate level, Muscat recorded the highest annual inflation rate in March 2026 at 4.5%, followed by Dhahirah and Dakhiliyah at 4.2% and 4.1%, respectively. Inflation in Dhofar and North Batinah was comparatively lower at 1.8% and 1.7%, respectively.The data also showed that the average inflation rate in the sultanate during the first three months of 2026 stood at 2.3%. The miscellaneous goods and services group recorded an average increase of 13.5% over the January–March 2026 period, indicating continued upward pressure in that category.
