ينظم المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 26 أغسطس الجاري ورشة عمل فنية حول احتساب المؤشرات المتعلقة بمحور الاستثمار والاستدامة الاقتصادية للتراث والثقافة، بمشاركة المختصين من المديرية العامة للمعلومات والمديرية العامة للإحصاءات الوطنية بالمركز.&nbsp;وتأتي الورشة في إطار العمل على احتساب مكونات المؤشر المركب (صون التراث والثقافة)، أحد المؤشرات الوطنية لرؤية عُمان 2040، بما يسهم في توحيد المفاهيم والمنهجيات المستخدمة في احتساب المؤشرات ذات الصلة.&nbsp;&nbsp;وتناقش الورشة منهجية وآلية احتساب المؤشرات، والبيانات المطلوبة ومصادرها والجهات المعنية بتوفيرها، إلى جانب رصد التحديات والفجوات في البيانات ووضع المقترحات المناسبة لمعالجتها.&nbsp;وتهدف الورشة إلى التوصل إلى آلية واضحة لاحتساب المؤشرات، والاتفاق على المفاهيم والتعاريف والمنهجية المعتمدة، وتحديد الخطوات اللاحقة لاستكمال أعمال الاحتساب بما يعزز دقة وموثوقية المؤشرات الوطنية ذات الصلة.&nbsp;

The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) is holding a technical workshop on calculating indicators related to investment and economic sustainability in the heritage and culture sector.&nbsp;&nbsp;The workshop, which commenced on 24 August 2026 and runs through 26 August, brings together specialists from the NCSI’s Directorate General of Information and Directorate General of National Statistics.&nbsp;&nbsp;The event is part of ongoing efforts to calculate the components of the Composite Indicator “Preservation of Heritage and Culture,” one of the national indicators of Oman Vision 2040, thereby contributing to the standardization of the concepts and methodologies used to calculate the relevant indicators.&nbsp;It discusses the methodology and mechanisms for calculating the indicators, the required data, its sources, and the entities responsible for providing it. It also examines data-related challenges and gaps and develops appropriate proposals to address them.&nbsp;The workshop aims to set a clear mechanism for calculating the indicators, reach agreement on the adopted concepts, definitions and methodology, and identify the next steps for completing the calculation process, as well as enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the relevant national indicators.&nbsp;

بلغ معدل التضخم في سلطنة عُمان 3.2 بالمائة لشهر يوليو 2026م مقارنة بالشهر المماثل من عام 2025م، وفقًا لبيانات الرقم القياسي لأسعار المستهلكين الصادرة عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات، فيما بلغ متوسط التضخم خلال الفترة من يناير إلى يوليو 2026م 2.9 بالمائة.&nbsp;&nbsp;وأظهرت البيانات أن مجموعة المواد الغذائية والمشروبات غير الكحولية سجلت أعلى معدل ارتفاع بين المجموعات الرئيسية بنسبة 7.3 بالمائة على أساس سنوي، تلتها مجموعة النقل بنسبة 6.5 بالمائة، ثم مجموعة السلع الشخصية المتنوعة والخدمات بنسبة 5.3 بالمائة، ومجموعة المطاعم والفنادق بنسبة 3.6 بالمائة، ومجموعة الأثاث والتجهيزات والمعدات المنزلية وأعمال الصيانة الاعتيادية للبيوت بنسبة 3.1 بالمائة، فيما ارتفعت أسعار مجموعة التعليم بنسبة 2.2 بالمائة، والصحة بنسبة 1.7 بالمائة، وأسعار مجموعة الثقافة والترفيه بنسبة 0.4 بالمائة.&nbsp;&nbsp;في حين استقرت أسعار مجموعات الاتصالات والتبغ والملابس والأحذية دون تغيير مقارنة بشهر يوليو من العام الماضي، بينما سجلت أسعار مجموعة السكن والمياه والكهرباء والغاز وأنواع الوقود الأخرى انخفاضًا بنسبة 0.6 بالمائة.&nbsp;&nbsp;وعلى مستوى المحافظات، سجلت محافظة الظاهرة أعلى معدل تضخم على مستوى سلطنة عُمان خلال شهر يوليو 2026م بنسبة 4.4 بالمائة، تلتها محافظة الداخلية بنسبة 3.7 بالمائة، ثم محافظة مسقط ومحافظة الوسطى بنسبة 3.4 بالمائة لكل منهما، تليها محافظة جنوب الشرقية ومحافظة مسندم بنسبة 3.0 بالمائة لكل منهما، ومحافظة البريمي بنسبة 2.8 بالمائة.&nbsp;كما بلغ معدل التضخم 2.5 بالمائة في محافظتي شمال الباطنة وشمال الشرقية، و2.4 بالمائة في محافظة جنوب الباطنة، فيما سجلت محافظة ظفار أدنى معدل تضخم بين محافظات سلطنة عُمان بنسبة 2.1 بالمائة.&nbsp;وفيما يتعلق بمجموعة المواد الغذائية والمشروبات غير الكحولية، أظهرت البيانات ارتفاع أسعار عدد من المجموعات الفرعية مقارنة بشهر يوليو 2025م؛ حيث ارتفعت أسعار الخضروات بنسبة 19.9 بالمائة، والفواكه بنسبة 15.8 بالمائة، واللحوم بنسبة 8.7 بالمائة، والأسماك بنسبة 5.7 بالمائة، والمشروبات غير الكحولية بنسبة 3.3 بالمائة.&nbsp;كما ارتفعت أسعار السكر والمربى والعسل والحلويات بنسبة 2.4 بالمائة، والحليب والجبن والبيض بنسبة 2.2 بالمائة، ومنتجات الأغذية غير المصنفة تحت بند آخر بنسبة 2.1 بالمائة، والخبز والحبوب بنسبة 1.0 بالمائة، والزيوت والدهون بنسبة 0.5 بالمائة مقارنة بالشهر المماثل من عام 2025م.&nbsp;

The inflation rate in the Sultanate of Oman stood at 3.2% in July 2026, compared with the same month of 2025, as the average inflation rate for the period from January to July 2026 stood at 2.9%, according to Consumer Price Index data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).&nbsp;The data showed that the Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages group recorded the highest annual increase among the main groups, rising by 7.3%, followed by Transport at 6.5%, Miscellaneous Goods and Services at 5.3%, Restaurants and Hotels at 3.6%, and Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance at 3.1%. Prices of Education increased by 2.2%, Health by 1.7%, and Recreation and Culture by 0.4%.&nbsp;Meanwhile, prices of Communication, Tobacco, and Clothing and Footwear remained unchanged compared with July 2025. Prices of the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels group declined by 0.6%.&nbsp;At the governorate level, Al Dhahirah Governorate recorded the highest inflation rate in Oman in July 2026 at 4.4%, followed by Al Dakhiliyah Governorate at 3.7%. Muscat and Al Wusta Governorates each recorded an inflation rate of 3.4%, followed by South Al Sharqiyah and Musandam Governorates at 3.0% each, and Al Buraimi Governorate at 2.8%.&nbsp;Inflation stood at 2.5% in both North Al Batinah and North Al Sharqiyah Governorates, while South Al Batinah Governorate recorded 2.4%. Dhofar Governorate recorded the lowest inflation rate among Oman’s governorates at 2.1%.&nbsp;In term of the Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages group, the data showed increases in the prices of several subgroups compared with July 2025. Vegetable prices rose by 19.9%, fruits by 15.8%, meat by 8.7%, fish and seafood by 5.7%, and non-alcoholic beverages by 3.3%.&nbsp;Prices of sugar, jam, honey and confectionery increased by 2.4%, while milk, cheese and eggs rose by 2.2%. Food products not elsewhere classified increased by 2.1%, bread and cereals by 1.0%, and oils and fats by 0.5%, compared with the same month of 2025.&nbsp;

بلغ إجمالي رخص قيادة المركبات الجديدة والمجددة في سلطنة عُمان 527 ألفًا و830 رخصة حتى نهاية عام 2025، مقارنة بـ 500 ألف و738 رخصة في عام 2024، و462 ألفًا و482 رخصة في عام 2023، و424 ألفًا و181 رخصة في عام 2022، و338 ألفًا و990 رخصة في عام 2021، وفق بيانات الكتاب الإحصائي السنوي الصادر عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات لعام 2026.&nbsp;وأظهرت البيانات أن رخص قيادة المركبات الجديدة بلغت 136 ألفًا و491 رخصة، مقابل 391 ألفًا و339 رخصة مجددة، كما بلغ إجمالي رخص القيادة الصادرة للعُمانيين، الجديدة والمجددة، 227 ألفًا و718 رخصة، مقابل 300 ألف و112 رخصة للوافدين.&nbsp;وفي جانب البنية الأساسية، واصلت شبكة الطرق في سلطنة عُمان نموها خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية، إذ ارتفع إجمالي أطوال الطرق المعبدة من 40 ألفًا و546 كيلومترًا في عام 2021 إلى 41 ألفًا و187 كيلومترًا في عام 2022، ثم 42 ألفًا و795 كيلومترًا في عام 2023، و44 ألفًا و53 كيلومترًا في عام 2024، ليصل إلى 45 ألفًا و659 كيلومترًا بنهاية عام 2025، بما يعكس التوسع التدريجي في شبكة الطرق على مستوى سلطنة عُمان.&nbsp;كما بلغ إجمالي أطوال الطرق المفردة 41 ألفًا و478 كيلومترًا، والطرق المزدوجة 4 آلاف و182 كيلومترًا، فيما بلغ إجمالي الطرق الممهدة 44 ألفًا و79 كيلومترًا حتى نهاية عام 2025.&nbsp;وعلى مستوى المحافظات، سجلت محافظة الداخلية أكبر رصيد من الطرق الممهدة بإجمالي 480 كيلومترًا، تلتها محافظة مسقط بـ 425 كيلومترًا، ثم محافظة الظاهرة بـ 120 كيلومترًا. أما الطرق المفردة، فجاءت محافظة ظفار في المرتبة الأولى بإجمالي 383 كيلومترًا، تلتها محافظة شمال الشرقية بـ 263 كيلومترًا، ثم محافظة جنوب الباطنة بـ 260 كيلومترًا.&nbsp;

The total number of new and renewed vehicle driving licences in the Sultanate of Oman reached 527,830 by the end of 2025, compared with 500,738 in 2024, 462,482 in 2023, 424,181 in 2022 and 338,990 in 2021, according to data from the Statistical Yearbook 2026 issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).&nbsp;The data showed that new vehicle driving licences stood at 136,491, compared with 391,339 renewed licences. The total number of new and renewed driving licences issued to Omanis reached 227,718, compared with 300,112 licences issued to expatriates.&nbsp;In terms of infrastructure, the road network in the Sultanate of Oman continued to grow over the past five years. The total length of paved roads increased from 40,546 kilometres in 2021 to 41,187 kilometres in 2022, then to 42,795 kilometres in 2023 and 44,053 kilometres in 2024, reaching 45,659 kilometres by the end of 2025. This reflects the gradual expansion of the road network across the Sultanate of Oman.&nbsp;The total length of single-carriageway roads stood at 41,478 kilometres, while dual-carriageway roads reached 4,182 kilometres. The total length of graded roads stood at 44,079 kilometres by the end of 2025.&nbsp;At the governorate level, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate recorded the highest length of graded roads, with a total of 480 kilometres, followed by Muscat Governorate with 425 kilometres and Al Dhahirah Governorate with 120 kilometres.&nbsp;As for single-carriageway roads, Dhofar Governorate ranked first with a total of 383 kilometres, followed by North Al Sharqiyah Governorate with 263 kilometres and South Al Batinah Governorate with 260 kilometres.&nbsp;
